Leeds could be interested in Hellas Verona’s Scottish left-back Josh Doig, who has been linked with moves to Rangers and AC Monza in recent days.

Doig was at Hibernian before moving to Serie A, where he played alongside Lewis Stevenson. Doig was regarded as a top talent on the Scottish team, and his former teammate even compared him to Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Football Scotland.

“Josh has the potential to go to the top level,” he said. He is 6ft 3in tall, fast, and strong. With that kind of physique, he looks like Ronaldo even with his top off, without meaning to sound creepy.

Given both Byram and Firpo’s struggles so far this season with injuries, Leeds are going to need someone like Doig who can provide some reliability in terms of their fitness.
