When Newark (N.J.) Bergen Catholic four-star offensive tackle Nyier Daniels wrapped up his official visits back in June, he says his decision to commit in July ultimately came down to two programs.
“Rutgers, being the home town,” Daniels told 247Sports Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy at check-in for the All-American Bowl. “I kept getting the image from Rutgers that I could be the next big thing there. But I just leaned toward Georgia.”

Per usual, Georgia is well-represented in the postseason All-American circuit.
The Bulldogs had several in Orlando for the Under Armour All-America week. The same can be said about the next few days in San Antonio, where Georgia has a full group in attendance.
There will be seven Georgia signees playing in the All-American Bowl that airs on NBCSports on Saturday:
- 5-star safety KJ Bolden
- 4-star WR Nitro Tuggle
- 4-star RB Nate Frazier
- 4-star DL Jordan Thomas
- 4-star OL Nyier Daniels
- 4-star DL Justin Greene
- 3-star RB Chauncey Bowens
All seven of those Bulldogs newcomers had a chance to meet with media during check-in day before All-American bowl practices.

“Most people were telling me I went to Georgia because of NIL. But in reality, I would have made way more money at other schools. I won’t say names out, but I would have made way more money at the other schools, more than I would get at Georgia. NIL doesn’t really mean a lot to me. I just like to compete. On making the decision to flip from Florida to Georgia…
“It was tough. It was tough because I still think highly of Florida’s coaches. But I just had to make the best decision for me and my family. I mean, look at Georgia and the history with developing running backs. You really can’t go against it. Nobody else is really better at doing it, so it was tough, but it was the best decision for me. I think every Florida kid wants to stay at home a little bit, but me just making that decision was something I had to weigh everything. Yeah, I could be at home, could be with my family. But I’ve gotta put me in the best position.”
