Georgia Football: 3 Bulldog RBs Suspended Puts Mark Richt in Tough Situation

When New Mexico State visits the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, they will be severely shorthanded at running back because three student-athletes were suspended on Tuesday and one player was lost to injury.

The good news is that Carlton Thomas, Ken Malcome, and rookie sensation Isaiah Crowell will only miss one game due to their suspensions for breaking team rules, according to ESPN’s DAWG Nation.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that the team’s lone other veteran running back, Richard Samuel, underwent ankle surgery today and will be sidelined for more than just Saturday.

Luckily for them, they’re playing a New Mexico State team that has lost its last two games and ranks 98th in the nation in points allowed per game at 32.
