After a storied 11-year career, two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan bids the NFL farewell.

After playing for 11 seasons with several clubs during his career, two-time Super Bowl winner and former safety of the San Francisco 49ers Logan Ryan has officially announced his retirement from the prestigious league.

The 83rd choice in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft went to the safety, who was named to both the first teams of the Big East and the first team of the country. The New England Patriots selected him, and he spent four seasons playing for them.

The safety was a member of three Super Bowl trips and six conference championship games. Ryan played with the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and San Francisco 49ers after leaving the Patriots.

Ryan expressed his gratitude to his colleagues and offered a sincere statement in a video posted on Platform X, which was formerly Twitter. Additionally, he spoke about The Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation, his animal rescue organization.

“I am officially retiring from the NFL after 11 seasons,” he declared. What a fantastic career. What an experience. Lovely adventure, like usual, filled with highs and lows. I want to thank everyone who helped me, including my teammates, family, and friends. Man, I always strive to play with integrity and give it my best. I would want to express my gratitude to the New England Patriots for believing in me, drafting me, and helping me win two Super Bowls. Thank you to the Tennessee Titans for developing me into a franchise player and for genuinely supporting RARF. It was there that my animal foundation was established, and together we accomplished a great deal both on and off the field during the playoffs.

He went on, “The New York Giants literally saved my wife’s life by bringing me back to New Jersey during the COVID years.” I really appreciate the organization and trained personnel for saving my wife, Ashley. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have become my eternal home; my children are growing up in Florida and have stability, which is very important to me as a father; and lastly, the San Francisco 49ers have helped me get off the boat.

We went on a run last season after joining a fantastic company with a fantastic coaching staff and locker environment. We do it for eleven seasons, six championship games, three trips to the Super Bowl, and two Super Bowl rings in the end. Man, I wouldn’t trade my blessings for anything. Again, thank you. Two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan is out, but don’t worry—we still have a lot in store for you.
