News Now: Yankees’ Juan Soto Reveals His Feelings After Hitting First Home Run in the Bronx

The New York Yankees are 9-2 on the season and have never had a better mood. With another amazing 7-0 victory over the Miami Marlins, fans are eager to declare that this club is substantially different than the one from a year ago.

Since Juan Soto was dealt to the Yankees, it has been all about him. The left-handed slugger was regarded as one of baseball’s top hitters, and in his first 11 games in the Bronx, he has proven it.

Soto left the yard for the first time as a Yankees player, delighting the crowd as New York piled on against the Marlins.

Fans have given Soto everything he could ask for, and he’s already acknowledged it several times, stating they’ve shown him love.

Bryan Hoch of MLB.com interviewed the superstar about his home run and how the fans reacted to it.

“They really surprised me with that one.” I hit it very well. I was skeptical, thinking, ‘Is it going to go? Is it going to stay? But when the ball fell, they jumped out of their chairs. It felt fairly pleasant.”

The pairing has been obvious for the two teams, especially with the manner he is performing. Soto is hitting.357/.462/.548 with two home runs and two doubles in 42 at-bats.

As he continues to produce and the fans show him greater love, the Yankees will eventually have to give him a larger price.

It’s been evident since the day he was traded to the team that the fans want him to sign a long-term contract. According to what Soto has said, a deal is certainly conceivable if New York is willing to provide him the cash he wants.
