NEWS NOW: Jordan Phillips, a former DT with the Bills, has reportedly signed with the Giants.

According to a report by Jordan Raanan, former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips has signed with the New York Giants. Now thirty-one, Phillips has established a prosperous NFL career while suiting up for the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Arizona Cardinals.

After being selected by the Dolphins in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Phillips started to establish himself as a starter defensive lineman before seeing his role decline in 2018. The Bills claimed Phillips after he was waived shortly after.

During his first assignment in Orchard Park, New York, Phillips had an instant and profound influence. Because of his zeal and excitement for interacting with the Bills Mafia, he became a fan favorite. Before agreeing to a hefty free-agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, Phillips participated in 28 games, starting nine of them. He set career highs in 2019 with 9.5 sacks, 31 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 16 quarterback hits for Buffalo. His output was phenomenal.

Due to injuries sustained during his brief stay in Arizona, Phillips had multiple periods of time spent on Injured Reserve while in the desert. Phillips was released after just two seasons, and he joined back with Buffalo. Through the NFL seasons of 2022 and 2023, Phillips stayed with the Bills.

Jordan Phillips played in 54 games (19 starts) over his four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. He recorded 66 tackles (44 solo), 20 tackles for loss, 27 quarterback hits, 10 pass defenses, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and 13.5 sacks.
