REPORT: After Draymond Green, the Warriors Would Like To Go On

With the 2023-24 NBA season officially over for the Golden State Warriors, their attention will turn to the 2024 offseason. There could be some major moves on the horizon for the franchise, as it is clear how they are currently constructed isn’t championship-caliber.

In a few short days, a lot of attention has been given to the future of Klay Thompson. Thompson is going to be a free agent this summer and his future with the franchise is up in the air. It isn’t something that he is ready to discuss yet, as he took issue with a reporter who asked him about it instead of focusing on the season that just concluded.

While Thompson isn’t as impactful as he was before the two seasons he missed because of injury, he can still help a team win some games. It will be interesting to see if the Warriors can find a way to retain him or if Tuesday night did mark the end of the Big 3 era for Golden State.

Based on recent reports, it sounds as if Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Thompson suited up together for the last time. If Golden State has their way, that trio will be broken up, but it isn’t Thompson they are interested in moving on from.

Instead, it is Green. According to a source who spoke to NBA Analysis Network, Golden State would like to move on from Green. If the right opportunity presented itself, they would pull the trigger on making a move.

“They’re ready to move on from Draymond. If they can get something done that makes sense, they wouldn’t hesitate to move on,” the source said.
