JUST NOW: Justin Jefferson has announced his choice regarding OTAs.

Fans of the Minnesota Vikings may want to sip some water and settle in for this one.

According to reports, All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson is not present with the squad when OTAs begin.
The former offensive player of the year was not spotted at the team’s facilities today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and he is still in the market for a significant contract extension.

Naturally, if the Vikings hadn’t given Jefferson his money and security, it would have been a complete shock.

At barely 24 years old, he is possibly the best wide receiver in the NFL.

Through his first four career seasons, the former national champion at LSU has the most receiving yards of any wide receiver in NFL history (5,899).

He only participated in ten games last season, but he still amassed over 1,000 yards for the fourth time in a row.

He had at least 1,400 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons prior to the current one.

Once more, he is only 24 years old and in the height of his professional life.

In Minnesota, the three-time All-Pro is clearly needed.

Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson, experienced running back Aaron Jones, and emerging star receiver Jordan Addison will all need to be back in the mix for rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins is no longer with the Vikings, but they can still be a strong team in 2024.

Everything hinges on McCarthy’s progress.

It is crucial that the group closes a deal with Jefferson because of this.

Definitely, the sooner, the better.
