State Warriors: Draymond Green has done it again.

Draymond Green, a veteran of the Golden State Warriors, still has a lot of gas left in his tank. But there’s no disputing that the four-time All-Star’s illustrious NBA career is coming to an end at age 34.

Green, though, would prefer to become a Warrior in retirement if you ask him. Naturally, this is presuming that Golden State continues to desire him.

Draymond Green Is Honest About The Future Of The Warriors

Green claims he isn’t ruling out the possibility of switching teams in an effort to win a fifth championship in his professional career. The 11-year veteran has, however, also made it very evident that he would much rather remain in the Bay Area, regardless of the possibility of earning another ring:

He stated, “The Warriors would have to not want me anymore,” during a recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaquille O’Neal. “I would be perfectly content to stay with Golden State for a further five years even if we failed to qualify for the playoffs each of those five years. I would rather fight alongside the same guys that helped me succeed.

The Warriors are currently stuck in a bit of a rut. Given that Stephen Curry is still at the top of his game, they are aware that they have the talent to contend for a title. But as we discovered in the most recent season, Steph is not an island. He obviously needs more assistance, therefore the front office’s first priority this summer should be providing it.

But one thing is certain—Green is going to ride and die with the Warriors, no matter which route they choose.
