So Sad: Rasheed Wallace Makes A Bold Claims About The 2004 Pistons.

The Golden State Warriors of 2016-17 are widely regarded as one of the best NBA teams ever.

They dominated the whole season and the playoffs, and no club in the league posed a genuine danger to them.

However, they were a jump-shooting team, and there has always been speculation about whether other great and more physical teams could have defeated them.

Draymond Green and Shaquille O’Neal recently argued whether they could have beaten the Los Angeles Lakers in 2000-01.

With that in mind, former NBA great Rasheed Wallace expressed his thoughts on the topic, albeit from the perspective of the Detroit Pistons from 2003 to 2004.

Unsurprisingly, the great forward asserted that the Pistons would have destroyed the Warriors because they lacked a team capable of matching them.

“We would have beaten the s*** out of them.” I’m going to address this since… Draymond [Green] recently said this nonsense on his and Shaq’s podcast. We would have beaten the s*** out of them because they couldn’t compete with us in any position,” Wallace remarked.

Granted, they played two different styles of basketball, but the Pistons were underestimated, and their synergy was unparalleled.

Beating Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and the Lakers was no fluke; they were one of the most formidable teams of all time.

However, this does not mean they could have simply demolished the Warriors.

For starters, the Warriors boasted two generational scorers in Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, and the club also played defense.

At the end of the day, other factors come into play.

Would the game be played according to current regulations or as it was played in 2004?

This debate is pointless and based on wishful thinking, as everyone might argue for their own team.
