Just Now: Newcastle will now have to move swiftly if they want to close the deal for the player with ……..

Newcastle United are attempting to move quickly ahead of the summer transfer season.

Indeed, the time in which teams can trade players and the like does not begin for another few days, but Newcastle is already making moves.

Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly is thought to be close to joining Eddie Howe at St James’ Park following talks with the free agency defender.

The club also intended to recruit Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo, but has since been surpassed by Premier League rivals Chelsea.

They now have their job cut out for them in terms of achieving another claimed target.

Newcastle will need to work quickly to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Giorgi Mamardashvili of Valencia is just one of several goalkeepers who have been linked with a move to Newcastle.

Nick Pope wants to stay at the club, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about potential signings in that department, with Martin Dubravka allegedly ready to go.

Last month, it was reported that Newcastle were looking to recruit the Georgia international before this summer’s European Championship, which begins on Friday, June 14.

The Chronicle now adds that the 23-year-old, who has a release clause worth roughly £85 million in his contract (though Newcastle may be seeking for a deal closer to £30 million), wants his future resolved by the start of Euro 2024.

That means Newcastle have less than two weeks to sign him.

Chelsea is also monitoring the shot-stopper, which is concerning.

Newcastle could recruit a player instead of Giorgi Mamardashvili. While Howe is a fan of Mamardashvili, his arrival is not guaranteed.

In fact, HITC Football insider Graeme Bailey recently told Geordie Boot Boys that his price tag could be an issue, potentially making Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale a more likely signing.

Newcastle are currently looking at a player Jose Mourinho thought was ‘amazing’.

Newcastle United appears to be seeking a new goalkeeper.

While Eddie Howe rates Nick Pope so highly that the Newcastle manager was “crestfallen” by his injury in December, it appears the team is trying to strengthen.

Indeed, despite Pope’s desire to stay, there have been ties with Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili.

With Martin Dubravka reportedly being permitted to leave, it makes sense to strive to strengthen.

Newcastle appears to be trying to replace more than just their first and second-choice goalkeepers.

Following the departure of Loris Karius, the club is apparently looking for a replacement, albeit Mark Gillespie’s contract has been extended.

Now a fresh name has surfaced as a possible target.

A highly experienced custodian, previously described as “fantastic” by Jose Mourinho, is thought to be of interest.

Newcastle are looking to sign Asmir Begovic this summer.
According to the Sunday Sun’s print edition (page 60 on 02/06/2024), Newcastle is one of the teams interested in Asmir Begovic.

The 36-year-old is out of contract with QPR and has attracted interest from West Ham and Saudi Arabian clubs.

Eddie Howe once had to deny a fight with Asmir Begovic.
It may come as a surprise to see Howe reconnect with Begovic.

During their time together at Bournemouth, media stories suggested that the two had a falling out.

While Howe disputed this, he informed Sky Sports that he spoke with the goalkeeper about his lack of regular play at the time.

“There’s been no bust-up, no dispute, just a chat and a talk, and I’m very happy with where Asmir is at,” he stated in 2019.

“He has been training excellently and that’s the main thing as far as I am concerned.”

Still, Howe appears to be excited to rejoin with players from his time on the south coast, with Newcastle allegedly close to signing Lloyd Kelly.

Premier League club now moves to restrict Newcastle United from signing their ‘perfect’ player this summer.

Newcastle United’s plans to replace Callum Wilson may have just suffered a setback.

The 32-year-old striker faces an unclear future this summer, despite Eddie Howe’s desire to keep him at St James’ Park.

However, the management believe it is time to cash in on the number nine, and Callum Wilson is expected to leave Newcastle United in the coming months.

Newcastle are interested in Everton forward to replace Callum Wilson.
If Wilson does leave, the Magpies will need to find a successor. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been considered as a potential candidate for the post.

The Everton forward, who was dubbed a ‘perfect striker’ by Carlo Ancelotti in 2020, is back on Newcastle’s radar and is thought to be a player Eddie Howe can develop further.

Furthermore, his contract at Goodison Park will expire in 2025. That means the Toffees must either sell him now or extend his contract, giving Howe the opportunity to strike a bargain.

Everton opens contract talks with Calvert-Lewin.
Everton, on the other hand, is now preparing to take a different approach.

Newcastle United are in talks with Lloyd Kelly.

After losing out on Tosin Adarabioyo, Newcastle United are allegedly still in talks to sign 25-year-old Bournemouth Lloyd Kelly.
According to the latest Sky Sports update, Newcastle United is still interested in Lloyd Kelly. The Magpies are searching for a centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window. While they lost out on signing Tosin Adarabioyo, they are still in talks with the 25-year-old Bournemouth defender.

Lloyd Kelly’s Bournemouth voyage
Lloyd Kelly has been a key player for Bournemouth since joining from Bristol City in July 2019. The Englishman, who graduated from Bristol City’s youth system, has grown to prominence throughout his time with the Cherries, rising from strength to strength over the last half-decade.

The 25-year-old has made nearly 150 appearances for Bournemouth, scoring three goals and assisting eight times. However, Kelly has played his final game for the Premier League team and will leave the Vitality Stadium as a free agent on July 1. Such an occurrence has not gone unnoticed, attracting the interest of several prominent teams.

A move to the Premier League seems in the cards, with numerous English clubs interested in signing him on a Bosman transfer. Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in the English center-back. However, Newcastle United are the front-runners to sign him in the summer transfer window.

Is there a big change on the horizon?
Newcastle United’s interest in Lloyd Kelly is understandable. The Magpies are searching for a centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window. They have lost Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles to long-term injuries, putting them on the sidelines until next year.

So, several center defenders have surfaced on Newcastle United’s radar, and they were interested in completing Bosman deals for Tosin Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly. However, Adarabioyo is about to join Chelsea. Meanwhile, the Magpies are in negotiations with Kelly over a potential free move.

Newcastle United will be desperate not to lose the fight to sign Lloyd Kelly in the summer transfer window, after Chelsea beat them to Tosin Adarabioyo’s signature. It will be intriguing to see if the 25-year-old Englishman joins St. James’ Park in a Bosman transfer.
