News Now: Phenomenal’ Newcastle player is still wounded, but may be ready to receive some very positive news.

Newcastle United had a difficult season under Eddie Howe.
While there were some highlights throughout the season, Newcastle endured a difficult season.

A continuous injury issue, combined with an inability to recruit players during the January transfer window due to lingering FFP limitations, put a great burden on Howe’s team.

Indeed, several key players missed significant amounts of time this season due to various ailments.

There were few constants on whom Howe could count, but a couple of names stick out.

Bruno Guimaraes and Fabian Schar, among others, played nearly every minute of the season.

Now, the gamer is eligible for a large award.

Anthony Gordon, recently described as “phenomenal” by Jeff Stelling, may be heading to Euro 2024.

Anthony Gordon receives bittersweet news following Newcastle injury.
The winger missed the final game of the season after suffering an ankle injury in the defeat to Manchester United near the end of the campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, Gordon will miss England’s friendly against Bosnia at St James’ Park on Monday due to injury, although this is more of a precautionary measure than anything else. He is claimed to still be feeling the effects of the ankle condition.

Interestingly, they also state that the 23-year-old is almost set to make the 26-man England team for the Euros, which Gareth Southgate will confirm later this month.

Newcastle struck gold with Anthony Gordon.
While Gordon had a rough start after joining from Everton for £40 million, he has recently rocketed to prominence.

Billed as one of the Premier League’s best players this season, the money spent on him suddenly appears to be a steal. At 23, there’s probably still a lot more to come.

England has profited from Howe’s improvements, and Gordon may be able to finish off a remarkable season with the ultimate victory in Germany this summer.

Exclusive: Newcastle have one ‘major danger’ who cannot be ruled out of paying £100 million for Bruno Guimaraes this

Newcastle United fans are nervously waiting to see if Bruno Guimaraes’ release clause is activated.

Bruno Guimaraes’ future at Newcastle United is on the line this summer, with suitors having a window of opportunity to purchase him for £100 million. His release clause is only valid for a short time, which may help the Magpies keep the 26-year-old at St James’ Park.

He is undoubtedly in high demand, which comes as no surprise given his recent season. Bruno was just exceptional throughout Newcastle’s terrible year.

That is why Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in signing him, despite their refusal to activate his release clause. The Gunners believe they can get him for less later in the summer, while Pep Guardiola’s side is doubtful whether he is truly worth a nine-figure fee.

How do Newcastle United feel about keeping Bruno Guimaraes as PSG linger?
That puts Newcastle in a strong position, since HITC Football insider Graeme Bailey has told Geordie Boot Boys that the Magpies are not interested in discussing Bruno’s departure this summer.

To sign him, a club must trigger his £100 million release clause, and Bailey sees Paris Saint-Germain as the ‘major threat’ to watch out for.

“Newcastle are not welcoming interest in Bruno, but they can’t stop it if someone pays his release clause,” he stated.

“I still believe PSG are the biggest threat. Do they pay £100 million? You would not rule that out.
“Newcastle are very confident that Bruno Guimaraes will be at St James’ Park next season, but without European football, that’s another slight issue.”

Arsenal can afford Bruno.

Bailey feels Newcastle fans should be wary of PSG. They had always admired him and were disappointed that they missed out on signing him before Newcastle did.

The Ligue 1 giants learned firsthand how brilliant he is earlier this season, when Bruno put on an amazing clinic against them in the Champions League at St James’ Park. That night, the Brazilian performed admirably, demonstrating his status as a world-class artist.

That is why several big clubs, including Arsenal, would want to have Bruno on their roster. They are looking for a midfielder and have been trying to recruit Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

Bailey, on the other hand, has told Geordie Boot Boys that the 25-year-old is not interested in a move to the Emirates, raising the question of whether Arsenal’s stance on Bruno will change.

“Zubimendi is the player Arsenal wants, but he isn’t interested in completing the transfer.

“What effect does that have on Bruno? Possibly; never say never.

“We know they like Bruno, and they are likely to be well-oiled financially this summer. They already have a sizable war fund, and they will be selling Emile Smith-Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, Albert Sambi Lakonga, and Thomas Partey.

“I don’t think Arsenal will pay Bruno’s release clause, but they could if they wanted to.”

Layer, who Newcastle planned to pay £50 million for in January, is suddenly available, but the Toon move will not happen.

It appears that Newcastle United will pass on the opportunity to capture a player they were really interested in in January.

Newcastle United were looking for a midfielder earlier this year. They suffered numerous injuries in the center of the park, and there were concerns that Joelinton would be sold owing to his contract problems.

Kalvin Phillips was the top prospect to arrive, but the Magpies changed their minds about the Manchester City player. That proved to be the correct option, as Phillips went on to have a difficult time on loan at West Ham.

Another target was Everton’s Amadou Onana, who has been on Newcastle’s radar for some time. A deal for the Belgian international seemed much more enticing, with Eddie Howe’s side reportedly willing to pay £50 million to sign him. However, a deal did not come to pass.

Newcastle is no longer interested in signing Amadou Onana.
Onana is now expected to become available, with Everton looking to move the 22-year-old to improve their profit and sustainability.

That gives Newcastle the opportunity to sign a player they’ve coveted since he was Sven Botman’s Lille colleague, but HITC Football insider Graeme Bailey has informed Geordie Boot Boys that the Magpies’ transfer priorities are elsewhere.

“Centre-midfield isn’t a priority for Newcastle United this summer, so I don’t think the Magpies will be in contention for Amadou Onana,” he stated.

“That is why Everton is utilizing intermediaries to find a buyer.

“It’s not like Newcastle dislikes him. They obviously do. And if Bruno leaves tomorrow, Onana is likely to be a top contender to take his position. But I don’t believe he’s on Newcastle’s radar right now.”

Everton require a financial injection, as Newcastle United look Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Everton are ready to cash in on one of their star players, and Onana is the guy they have opted to let go of.

They have a few sellable assets, but Bailey does not feel Toon striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of them, as Newcastle consider whether or not to sign the 27-year-old forward.

“Everton has to raise finances, and he [Onana] is the guy they would prefer to sell above Jordan Pickford and Jarrad Branthwaite.

“That excludes Calvert-Lewin, who would not leave for large sums of money. That would not resolve their financial issues.

“Newcastle’s interest in him will depend on the Callum Wilson situation.”

Calvert-Lewin is linked with a move to St James’ Park, but only if Callum Wilson departs. Everton’s number nine has been considered as a replacement, although this may not be viable.

Everton is now looking to keep the England international. They have initiated contract talks with Calvert-Lewin, which would very certainly terminate any possibility of his coming to Tyneside.

The £55 million player who Newcastle wants has decided he wants to sign for Arsenal this summer.

There’s good and bad news about one of Newcastle United’s top summer transfer targets.

The Magpies may be looking for a striker ahead of next season, with Callum Wilson rumored to be leaving St James’ Park.
