Just Now: Newcastle United Have Yet To Reach Full Agreement With Target

With financial fair play restrictions in mind, the Magpies are cautiously contemplating their summer transfer moves.
They have identified defence as a need for investment and have targeted Bournemouth’s departing defender Kelly.

The Cherries have previously declared that the 25-year-old will depart the club at the end of his contract.
Serie A club Roma and La Liga club Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the Bristol City academy graduate on a free transfer.

Newcastle, on the other hand, has been working on the deal for some time and is the odds-on favourite to close it.
The Magpies and the defender have yet to strike a final agreement.

It’s unclear how much work remains to be done, but Kelly appears to be heading to St James’ Park, barring a late hiccup.

Andreas Pereira confirms future meetings with agents amid ties to …….

Andreas Pereira has confirmed that he will speak with his representatives about his future at Fulham, amid reports of a move away from the club.

Last season, the Brazilian international was one of Marco Silva’s main players, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in 34 Premier League appearances.

Pereira’s 28-year-old club form earned him his first international call-up since 2018 in March, and he appeared as a substitute in games against England and Spain.

The Selecao has also named him to their squad for this summer’s Copa America, which starts in the United States later this month.

Pereira’s contract with Fulham expires in the summer of 2026, and he has recently been linked with moves to Tottenham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa.

When asked about his future, the former Manchester United midfielder told Brazilian newspaper UOL, “It’s difficult to talk about the future now; I’m completely focused on the national team.” After the title, God willing, I’ll consider my future with the club.

“I’ll sit down with my agent and decide my future.”

The ambitious Silva is pleading with the club’s leadership to support him and wants to improve his offensive options during the summer season.

Willian is poised to negotiate a new contract, while Bobby De Cordova-Reid will go unless the team can reach an agreement on a new term.

Tim Ream, a Cottagers stalwart, is also in advanced talks to join Major League Soccer club Charlotte.

The 37-year-old merely signed a contract extension in December that runs until June 2025, but the MLS club is considering a move.
