News Now: Alexander Isak alternative gives obvious transfer message to Arsenal, as ‘dream’ revealed.

Brian Brobbey, an Ajax forward, has picked Arsenal as one of his dream clubs as speculation over his future persists.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Dutch giants this summer, having just returned to Ajax two years ago following a botched deal to RB Leipzig.

Now back in the shop window, the Dutchman is expected to charge a big cost after scoring 22 goals in all competitions despite his team’s troubles.

Brobbey’s finest years may be spent in the Netherlands, as his contract expires in 2027, but the player’s most recent comments indicate he does not intend to stay in Amsterdam for the future.

HELDEN Magazine asked him to name his dream destinations, and he said, “Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, those are fantastic clubs. But if I stay at Ajax, it is not punishment.”

Arsenal may consider a bid for the teenager if their efforts to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak are unsuccessful.

Isak will cost significantly more than Brobbey in terms of transfer fees, and negotiations with Newcastle will almost certainly be more difficult because he is buying from a Premier League opponent.

The Magpies have reiterated that they have no plans to sell their Swedish star this summer, despite the fact that they must comply with Profit and Sustainability guidelines, which could force numerous teams to cash in on their prized assets to balance the books.

Isak recently informed Swedish newspaper Fotbollskanlen about his future plans, saying, “I’m having a great time in Newcastle.

“I recently had the best season of my career. This should not be underestimated. I truly enjoy everything about the club, the fans, and the city. I have no plans to move or anything like that. I have a great time and am quite satisfied with my life.”
