Walker ranks among the franchise’s all-time leaders in shooting, free throws, field goals made and attempted, total points, and scoring average. Outside of Michael Jordan, Walker had the most points (56) in a Bulls game. He won an NBA championship in 1976 while playing with Wilt Chamberlain on the Philadelphia 76ers. He was a member of seven All-Star teams, four of which were with the Bulls during his five-season tenure.

He attended Bradley University and became the school’s all-time greatest scorer, earning the moniker “Chet the Jet.”

The Syracuse Nationals drafted Walker in 1962. He traveled with the team when it was purchased and then to Philadelphia to become the 76ers in 1963. He played for them until 1969, when he joined the Chicago Bulls. He continued to play for the squad until 1975. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on September 7, 2012.

He was inducted into the inaugural Chicago Ring of Honor earlier this year, alongside Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and Phil Jackson, among others.
