Talented 2025 Ohioan is ready to make his case for Ohio State scholarship offer.

After signing two 2024 tight ends, Max Leblanc, a prototype tight end, and Damarion Witten, a receiver who could eventually develop into an H-back or tight end, Ohio State tight ends coach Keenan Bailey has been looking to sign at least one top tight end for the Buckeyes’ 2025 recruiting class, if not two.

Bailey received a promise from top target Nate Roberts of Washington (Okla.), who declared his commitment to Ohio State on April 13, just before the Buckeyes’ spring game began.

Since then, Bailey has continued to recruit Brody Lennon from Gates Mills (Ohio) Gilmour Academy, who Bucknuts has featured on many occasions dating back to mid-February. Lennon made his first Ohio State recruiting visit in early March, attending a Buckeyes spring practice and leaving quite impressed.

College football’s ten teams have the easiest roads to an unblemished 2024 season.

The high college football national champion for the 2024 season is likely to finish with a flawless record. Despite difficult schedules for several anticipated contenders with loaded rosters, ESPN’s Football Power Index has forecast eleven teams with a greater chance than most to win — and virtually all have play-making quarterbacks and roster advantages over the opponent.

Michigan’s run through the Big Ten en route to a perfect season represented the second consecutive year and fifth time in the previous six that a college football national champion finished undefeated, dating back to Clemson in 2018.

Looking at diverse schedules across the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, Big 12, and Group of Five ranks, these are the ten schools with a 2.6% probability or higher of finishing unblemished, according to FPI forecasts.

According to ESPN’s FPI, these college football teams have a shot of going undefeated…

1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

ESPN FPI’s win-out percentage is 15.8%.

Chance of Notre Dame going 12-0: Above average.

Why this could happen: Not to mention a popular summer narrative, the enlarged College Football Playoff will always favor the Fighting Irish as long as Notre Dame is independent and recruits at a top level. Looking at the 2024 schedule for Marcus Freeman’s team, Notre Dame’s hardest game may be the season opener at Texas A&M. The Fighting Irish also host Louisville and Florida State. If both teams have double-digit wins, the last game at USC could decide a playoff place. Riley Leonard will be a Heisman finalist if Notre Dame goes undefeated into the postseason.

2. Oregon Ducks.

ESPN FPI’s win-out percentage is 15.7%.

Chance of Oregon going 12-0: Average.

Why this could happen: It just takes a minute — or three — to scout Oregon’s two-deep for a possible weakness ahead of the Ducks’ inaugural Big Ten season. The schedule becomes more difficult, but Oregon only plays one nationally ranked opponent away from Autzen Stadium, where it has one of the nation’s longest home winning streaks. The Ducks have two quarterbacks who would start for most programs, and their defensive line, which includes fresh portal talent, will go all out.

3. Georgia Bulldogs.

ESPN FPI’s win-out percentage is 10.8%.

Chance Georgia goes 12-0: Average.

Why this could happen: Kirby Smart’s roster at Athens is the most complete you’ll find in the SEC. He has won two national championships in the last three seasons and would have returned to the College Football Playoff last year if the Bulldogs had defeated Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. They entered that one with a 12-0 record, capitalizing on a favorable slate by SEC standards. This season’s schedule is significantly more difficult, with travels to Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

4. Ohio State Buckeyes.

ESPN FPI’s win-out percentage is 7.5%.

Chance Ohio State’s 12-0 record is above average.

Why this could happen: Have you looked at Ryan Day’s roster? In terms of a star-studded supporting cast rather than a football squad, it resembles an Avengers sequel. The elephant in the room is Ohio State’s failure to beat Michigan in three seasons, despite its national success. Throughout those years, the Wolverines have also won the Big Ten championship. The Buckeyes’ defense is loaded with veterans and should be among the best in the nation.

5. Penn State Nittany Lions.
