BREAKING NEWS: Newcastle lands a deadly blow to Chelsea in the race to secure £20 million-rated English talent.

Newcastle has grabbed the lead in the hunt to recruit Burnley’s highly regarded goalkeeper this summer.
Newcastle have started discussions to sign Burnley goalkeeper and Chelsea target James Trafford this summer. Last week, LondonWorld revealed that the English goalkeeper, who was omitted from England’s Euros squad, was on Chelsea’s list.

Newcastle has since made touch with the goalie, according to The Athletic. According to the report, conversations between Newcastle and Burnley have commenced, with Newcastle valuing the player between £15 and £20 million.

Trafford joined Burnley from Manchester City last summer for up to £19 million. He played 28 Premier League games for the Lancashire side before being replaced by Arijanet Muric for the final ten games of the 2023-24 season.

The club’s relegation means they will have to sell some of the players in whom they have invested extensively, with the goalie being one of those who could leave this summer.

Chelsea have Robert Sanchez, who was signed to be Kepa Arrizabalaga’s backup, but his move to Real Madrid created an opportunity for him to establish himself as the club’s number one.

because to injuries, Đorđe Petrović seized the slot. Chelsea is looking for a goalkeeper, and Trafford was considered perfect because to his youth, talent, and Premier League experience.

Newcastle failed to qualify for Europe next season, but would hope that their summer transfer transaction, which might begin with Trafford, will lead them back to continental competition, considering that Chelsea was the team that deprived them European participation.
