News Now: Newcastle pursues 2023 Chelsea signing who could yet help massive incoming transfer

Newcastle are interested in signing Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, and given that he has been looking for an exit for some time, he might go for the appropriate offer, TEAMtalk can confirm.
Madueke has finding form difficult to come by at Stamford Bridge. He joined a club brimming with attacking potential and thus had minimal opportunities – only seven starts – in his first half season after signing in January 2023.

The same held true this season. Prior to December, the winger had only been in the Premier League six times, with the majority of those outings coming late.

According to TEAMtalk sources, Madueke was asking for a loan out in January to obtain some game time.

However, that did not happen, and he was given more of an opportunity at the conclusion of the season, starting each of the final nine league games – the Blues won six of them, with Madueke contributing three goals and two assists.

His misery has lessened, but the arrival of a new boss, Enzo Maresca, could upend everything.

TEAMtalk sources have revealed that Madueke is once again eager to leave the club on loan if the club does not regard him as a regular starter.

He may also be given the opportunity to leave Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle want Madueke this summer.
Sources have told TEAMtalk that Newcastle are interested in signing the winger.
It is believed that he may now depart if the proper offer comes in.

It’s hardly unexpected if he and Chelsea agree on his departure, given that he hasn’t liked his time there and has yet to be totally trusted by a manager.
Crystal Palace may barge in.
However, Newcastle do not appear to be the only Premier League club pursuing Madueke’s signature.
Indeed, speculations suggest that Crystal Palace may approach Chelsea for the 22-year-old.
Madueke would be returning to the club, having previously played for the Eagles as a youth.

That transfer might also help Chelsea sign Palace star winger Michael Olise.

The Blues have been in discussion with his club about his signing, and if they allow Madueke to leave for Palace, they may be more willing to offer a simpler structure for Olise.
