Jerry West, former Los Angeles Lakers great, died at the age of 86. While West is best known for his outstanding performance on the court, he is also the face of the classic NBA logo, which has been used for several years. West was also a personal friend of Mark Davis, the current owner of Las Vegas, who paid tribute to him on social media.

Jerry West, a basketball star, died today, and the Raiders family is mourning. West, a Hall of Fame player before becoming a great builder on the hardwood, is a globally recognized personality in basketball and sports.

Known as “Mr. Clutch” and “The Logo,” he was an All-Star in each of his 14 seasons and was regarded as one of the NBA’s best defenders in addition to his attacking abilities.
