Wan’Dale Robinson, a wide receiver, might benefit from increased playing time if given the opportunity. That is feasible if the Tennessee Titans make an offer to acquire him from the New York Giants in the coming weeks.
Robinson’s football career began at Nebraska, where he developed into a versatile threat who excelled as a rusher and receiver. After a promising 2019 season, he decided to move to Kentucky, where he could solidify his position as one of the country’s top receivers.
Robinson broke school records in 2021, with 104 receptions for 1,334 yards to help the Wildcats win the Citrus Bowl. His outstanding collegiate performance piqued the interest of the New York Giants, who selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Robinson had an immediate impact for the Giants, but his rookie season was hampered by a knee injury and an ACL tear. Despite the setbacks, he demonstrated his playmaking abilities, particularly in a remarkable performance against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14.
In 2023, Robinson rebounded with 60 receptions for 525 yards and two total touchdowns, cementing his place in the Giants’ offense. As he starts his third professional season, the 22-year-old looks to improve on his strong start and become one of the league’s most exciting young receivers.
The Tennessee Titans have been identified as a potential landing spot for Wan’Dale Robinson in an interesting trade proposal.
Although Robinson has surprised New York in a few games, there is still a potential the front management can trade him in the coming months. Kristopher Knox’s Bleacher Report piece explains why the Tennessee Titans should target the Giants’ wide receiver.
“If Robinson doesn’t get much playing time before the trade deadline, the Tennessee Titans should make a move. This offseason, they added Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to compliment DeAndre Hopkins. However, all three of their best receivers will be 30 or older at the end of the season.
Hopkins and Boyd will also become free agents in 2025.
Adding another talented receiver to grow alongside Treylon Burks and second-year quarterback Will Levis makes perfect sense for Tennessee. “That makes Robinson an ideal trade target because he is 23 and spent the 2021 season with Levis at Kentucky,” Knox wrote.
Robinson’s young age and talent may be enough to entice the Titans to consider him. If he performs well, Tennessee will have a terrific wide receiver who can be a long-term member of the squad.
It remains to be known whether the Giants will trade Robinson or keep him. If it’s the former, the Titans should make a bid for him immediately away.
