So Disrespectful: Utah Jazz players have refused to agree with their head coach when he stated that he wants to sign……..

There appears to be a large number of starting-caliber big guys available for trade. According to league sources, the Bucks are willing to reshape their roster and are evaluating Brook Lopez’s trade value. Houston, according to sources, warned Lopez that re-signing with Milwaukee could lead to his eventual trade when the Rockets sought him in free agency a year ago. Atlanta, according to sources, is still pursuing deals for veteran center Clint Capela, who is entering the final year of a contract that still guarantees the 30-year-old rim protector $22 million. Rival teams believe Utah is willing to engage in trade talks to part ways with Jazz second-year center Walker Kessler. According to league sources, the Detroit Pistons are studying the market for Isaiah Stewart.

This comes from “rival teams,” so take it with a grain of salt, but we’ve also heard whispers that the Jazz and Kessler don’t always agree on certain issues. I just discussed this with Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune, and it appears that there is a small disconnect.

Another thing that comes to mind here is that Kessler and Lauri Markkanen look to be close. Does this suggest Utah isn’t concerned about making efforts to please Markkanen? That may not signify much, but I see it as a positive indicator for the team’s health. Under this front office, Utah is clearly prepared to listen to proposals, including Markkanen’s, which speaks well for decision-making. The last thing you want is for your squad to be dependent on a single person and what they want to do.

With the draft approaching, do teams believe they can get Walker Kessler if they miss out on Donovan Clingan? Would the Jazz be open to listening to the Memphis Grizzlies, for example? We will find out soon.

Is Zach Lavine next? Possible trades with the Sixers and Jazz

The Chicago Bulls made waves yesterday after trading veteran guard Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Josh Giddey.

It was a dangerous move for Chicago, as they took on the promise of the 21-year-old Giddey, who had his postseason role curtailed this season due to his shooting limitations.

The Bulls apparently turned down a better deal at last year’s deadline, but given Caruso’s expiring contract, this could have been the best option available, though it’s hard to believe there weren’t more offers. It’s hardly a really exciting return until there’s more to come.

Is this an indication that the Bulls are finally rebuilding? We will have to wait and see. If so, Zach LaVine may come next, and teams are already believed to be interested.

Chicago Bulls rumors: 76ers, Jazz, and Zach LaVine.
K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported that the Zach LaVine trade rumors are heating up again, and he listed three specific possibilities:

“League sources reiterated that the Bulls remain active on several trade fronts centered on Zach LaVine, including with the Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers.”

The 76ers have previously been suggested as a potential destination for LaVine, while the Jazz have cap space and a need for another impact player.

Here’s one hypothetical deal with each of them, both of which would give the Bulls a good return on LaVine.
