News Now: There are less than 24 hours left to make your vote matter in All-Star Ballot Phase 2.

The second Phase 2 ballot update for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard includes Mookie Betts’ surprising surge, Juan Soto’s bid to start with Aaron Judge, and close races at designated hitter in the American League and National League outfields.

There is only one more day to vote on this year’s All-Star Game starters. The Phase 2 finalist elections will determine who joins Judge and Bryce Harper, the top Phase 1 vote-getters, in the starting lineups for the Midsummer Classic, which will be held on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
Fans can vote for the 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot presented by BuildSubmarines.com until Wednesday at 12:00 ET.
The All-Star Ballot is only available online and on mobile devices through MLB.com/vote, all 30 club websites, the MLB App, and the MLB Ballpark App. During Phase 2, fans can vote once each day until midnight ET, when the daily voting limit resets.
Here are the most recent Phase 2 All-Star standings.

FIRST BASE

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays: 60 percent
Ryan Mountcastle, Orioles: 40 percent
Guerrero (.297 AVG, 13 HR,.846 OPS) is maintaining his lead over Mountcastle (.273 AVG, 11 HR,.777 OPS) in his quest for a fourth consecutive All-Star berth. The Blue Jays slugger is the reigning Home Run Derby champion, but he hasn’t gotten a hit in the All-Star Game since his debut in 2021, when he hit a mammoth home run off Corbin Burnes.

SECOND BASE

Jose Altuve (Astros): 57%
Marcus Semien, Rangers: 43%.
Altuve (.304 AVG, 13 HR,.822 OPS) maintains his lead over Semien (.235 AVG, 11 HR,.683 OPS), and is one step closer to being named an All-Star starter for the sixth time and making his eighth career All-Star team. Semien, a two-time All-Star and the lone 2024 finalist from the defending World Series champions, must make up ground if the Rangers are to be represented in the All-Star Game starting lineup.

SHORTSTOP

Gunnar Henderson, Orioles: 65 percent
Bobby Witt Jr., Royals: 35 percent
In the most star-studded contest on the ballot, Henderson (.288 AVG, 26 HR, 13 SB,.988 OPS) continues to lead Witt (.312 AVG, 12 HR, 22 SB,.897 OPS) in their duel of shortstop phenoms. Henderson and Adley Rutschman, the Orioles’ exciting young talents, are both expected to make their first career All-Star starts this year.

THIRD BASE

José Ramírez, Guardians: 60%.
Jordan Westburg, Orioles: 40 percent
Ramírez (23 HR, 76 RBIs,.889 OPS) has appeared in five of the past six All-Star Games and is on track to make it six out of seven. The Guardians’ star is fending off the rising Westburg, who is batting.281 with 13 home runs and an.837 OPS in his first full season in the majors.

OUTFIELD

Juan Soto, Yankees: 31 percent
Steven Kwan, Guardians: 28%.
Anthony Santander, Orioles: 25 percent
Kyle Tucker, Astros: 16 percent
With four outfield hopefuls battling for two starting positions, Judge’s Bronx Bomber teammate Soto remains in the lead. Soto (.303 AVG, 20 HR, 1.005 OPS) now has a slightly larger lead over Kwan than he did on Monday, while Kwan (.368 AVG,.961 OPS) has a slightly larger lead over Santander and Tucker for the third and final starting place.

CATCHER

Adley Rutschman, Orioles: 70 percent
Salvador Perez, Royals: 30 percent
Rutschman (.294 AVG, 15 HR,.821 OPS) still has the largest lead of any All-Star finalist race, and with him and Henderson solidly in charge, the Orioles appear to be well-represented in the All-Star Game lineup. The 26-year-old backstop would be an All-Star for the second consecutive season, but he would be making his first start, whereas Perez is an eight-time All-Star and six-time starter.

DESIGNATED HITTER.

Yordan Alvarez, Astros: 53 percent
Ryan O’Hearn, Orioles: 47 percent.
While Shohei Ohtani leads the DH race in the NL, Alvarez will need to hold off O’Hearn in the AL to earn his first All-Star start. The southpaw slugger (.294 AVG, 17 HR,.900 OPS) has a little larger lead than a day ago and is one of two Astros in line to start the 2024 All-Star Game, with Altuve.

National League Second Base

Ketel Marte, D-backs: 55 percent
Luis Arraez, Padres: 45 percent
Marte holds the same lead over Arraez as he had following the first Phase 2 ballot update. Arraez may have the most hits in the Majors (111), but Marte has far more power (17 homers and an.874 OPS to Arraez’s two homers and.738 OPS). The D-backs’ second baseman would be making his first All-Star Game appearance since 2019.

SHORTSTOP

Trea Turner, Phillies: 50 percent
Mookie Betts, Dodgers: 50 percent
Betts has pulled into a virtual tie with Turner for NL starting shortstop honors. That’s surprising given Turner’s significant lead at the first update (53% to 47%) and Betts’ fractured left hand, which will prevent him from playing in the All-Star Game even if he is voted in as starter. But the Dodgers’ superstar was off to an All-Star-worthy start (.304 AVG, 10 HR,.893 OPS), as was Turner for the Phillies (.332 AVG,.833 OPS).
