JUST NOW: Patrick Beverley Pays Tribute to Golden State Warriors Dynasty After Klay Thompson Exit

Thompson’s trade to Dallas sparked a rush of emotions on social media. Veteran guard Patrick Beverley expressed his thoughts on the subject in a post on his official X account.

“What a ride they had. Steph, Klay, and Draymond never expected it to end. Beverley tweeted, “They changed the game.”

Thompson was acquired by the Mavericks through a sign-and-trade agreement with the Warriors. The Warriors obtained two second-round picks in exchange, and the Charlotte Hornets acquired Josh Green from Dallas.

Just recently, NBA fans witnessed the end of the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty when Klay Thompson was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks. Veteran guard Patrick Beverley, like those fans, expressed his thoughts on how Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Thompson’s All-Star season ended.

Golden State has experienced a tremendous rebirth in the twenty-first century, aided by the arrival of Curry. After struggling in the late 1990s and 2000s, the Warriors selected the point guard in 2009, ushering in a new era of prosperity.

In the early 2010s, the club continued to improve through the draft, acquiring Thompson and Green to form a talented core. This core group led the Warriors to five consecutive Finals berths between 2015 and 2019, winning three championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018.
