AEK Larnaca, a Cyprus-based club, has confirmed the signing of Godswill Ekpolo, a Nigerian defender.
Ekpolo signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year when he transferred from Apollon Limassol FC, another Cypriot team, to AEK Larnaca.
With 49 appearances for Limassol, the adaptable defender recorded three goals and two assists. A statement on the club’s website stated, “Kition Athletic Association (AEK) Larnaca is pleased to announce the signing of Nigerian versatile defender Godswill Ekpolo for the next 2+1 years.”
“The footballer successfully completed the necessary medical examinations and then signed the relevant contracts.”
Ekpolo once had stint with LaLiga giants Barcelona and featured prominently for the reserve team.
