The WNBA Rookie of the Year for this season, Caitlin Clark, had what may have been the greatest rookie season in history thanks to an incredible rookie season spent with the Indiana Fever. She set the record for most assists in a season (337), led the WNBA in assists per game (8.4), and now owns the record for most assists in a single game (19). With 122 three-pointers made in a season, Clark moved into second place all-time, just behind Sabrina Ionescu’s 128. Clark was a dominant player when it came to three-pointers. She now holds the WNBA record for the most three-pointers made by a rookie. Clark topped rookies in almost all statistical categories this season, including steals, field goals, three-pointers, points, and assists. He also became the first rookie to record a triple-double.
Caitlin Clark’s awful rendition of Taylor Swift
The WNBA Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark, is featured in a video that has gone viral. Using the song “enchanted,” Clark gives the worst Taylor Swift imitation possible. Although karaoke is undoubtedly not Clark’s strong suit, she gives it her all and stuns her teammate. It appears that the video was released once more by a Swiftie who also likes Clark. I believe their intention was to vent their anger at Angel Reese for the final podcast episode in which Reese asked Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce’s youtuber ex-girlfriend, a number of questions regarding their relationship in an attempt to find answers that would enrage the Swifties, who will stop at nothing to defend their hero Taylor.
Reese’s inquiries into Nicole and Kelce’s relationship seem a little excessive to me, as they ended their relationship nearly three years ago. Since Clark is a huge fan of Taylor Swift and her relationship with Travis, even though she isn’t a pop singer and only has a mediocre microphone performance, her age of 22 makes her the WNBA’s best prospect going forward. Clark also enjoys singing.
NBA Finals
The WNBA Finals will resume tomorrow at 3 p.m. EST with Game 2 between the New York Liberty, the top team during the regular season, and the Minnesota Lynx, the winners of Game 1. The Lynx overcame a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to triumph in overtime, setting up an incredible finish to Game 1. Napheesa Collier’s game-winning shot with 8.8 seconds remaining in overtime gave Minnesota, who had trailed the New York Liberty by 18 points at halftime, the victory over them on Thursday night. So, I predict a similar outcome for tomorrow, and I’m willing to venture that Liberty will prevail and cover the -7.5 spread line that most casinos are offering.
