Rob Rausch previously teased his appearance in the music video with Nessa Barrett on July 29
In the music video for her new single, which is taken from her upcoming second album, Nessa Barrett demonstrates why she is the perfect “Passenger Princess.”
Barrett’s attractive driver and love interest in the sensual music video is played by Love Island USA’s Rob Rausch, who made his music video debut on Thursday, August 1.
First published on July 26, “Passenger Princess” is the lead song from the 21-year-old singer’s upcoming second album, Aftercare, which is scheduled for release later this year. Barrett’s first release since her 2023 EP Hell Is a Teenage Girl is this track as well.
Barrett described “‘Passenger Princess’ as representing the intense honeymoon phase when you first enter in a new relationship — the mindset where you would do anything for the one you love just to experience the passion of a connection” in the press release for the new song.
Barrett doesn’t appear in frame until after a scene in the women’s restroom opens the music video. When she picks up the phone, an enigmatic voice—possibly that of Rausch, 25—says, “I’m here.”
Before Rausch climbs into his car and they take off, Barrett walks outside to welcome him. Barrett and Rausch can’t resist holding hands throughout the music video as she sings, “Can you feel my heartbeat / When you’re heading full speed / Anywhere you take me / I’ll go.”
For the remainder of the journey, the two had a passionate makeout session. Barrett and Rausch may be seen hooking up below the car they crashed at the end of the film.
Although Barrett and Rausch had a strong chemistry in the “Passenger Princess” music video, he told PEOPLE that he is still “single at this point” and is not romantically connected with her.
“I have no intention of dating any of the show’s girls,” he declared. “I don’t really have any plans to date anyone just yet.”
