Since the start of the offseason, the Green Bay Packers have been linked to a number of elite wide receivers. Regretfully, they have lost out on each and every one of them. Tee Higgins was removed from the market after the Cincinnati Bengals franchise-tagged him, despite the fact that many fans considered him a priority early on. Packers supporters remained hopeful that they would be able to acquire one of Davante Adams or DK Metcalf even after Higgins was cut. Given that Adams had stated that he was amenable to a reunion with the Packers even before to his release by the New York Jets, many believed that Green Bay had a great chance of acquiring him.
However, news broke on Sunday that he had signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams.
And for a little while, those same fans held out hope that the Packers would be able to land Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks via trade. That, of course, did not happen either.
