It is now confirmed by multiple sources that Andrei Tarasenko, the father of Vladimir Tarasenko, died at the age of 56.
Several media have reported that Vladmir Tarasenko’s father, Andrei, died at the age of 56. Tarasenko recently signed with the Red Wings.

The team Andrei served as a development coach for, HC Sibir Novosibirsk, first announced the news, stressing how unexpected his death was. The information has been independently verified by George Malik of The Malik Report.

In recognition of Andrei’s contributions, HC Sibir retired his number 10 jersey, which Vladimir wore in Florida the previous season when he won his second Stanley Cup.
