Professional motocross and supercross racer Haiden Deegan was arrested on the night of March 21 in Walton County on charges of racing on a highway, according to an arrest affidavit from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
A Walton County Sheriff’s Deputy reported hearing tires squealing and engines revving near the Walton Sports Complex at 6435 U.S. Highway 98 East. Upon investigation, the deputy says he saw multiple vehicles in the parking lot, including a gray Audi R8 performing a “donut” in a travel lane. The arrest report says the deputy activated his patrol lights and siren, but the vehicle continued spinning before eventually pulling into a parking spot.
The deputy identified Deegan, 19, as the driver of the Audi. During the traffic stop, the arrest reports say he told the deputy, “I’m sorry, sir,” and admitted, “We were all drifting.” Deputies took Deegan into custody for violating Florida Statute 316.191.2a, which prohibits racing on highways.
Additional Details of the Arrest
During a search of Deegan’s wallet, deputies discovered two fake North Carolina driver’s licenses listing his birth year as 2002 and two Florida driver’s licenses belonging to other individuals.
Deegan was transported to the Walton County Jail following his arrest.

He has been recognized for his achievements in Supercross and Motocross, earning the 2023 250SX and 250MX Rookie of the Year awards and securing championships in the SuperMotocross series.
