Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian addresses the extremely bright future. The Longhorns head into the season as one of the favorites to win the national title
The Texas Longhorns, Steve Sarkisian, and Arch Manning don’t have time for video games. Sarkisian disclosed on Monday that he and Manning chose not to go to the picture session for the cover of EA Sports College Football 26 at the Rose Bowl, as his team attempts to win a coveted College Football Playoff national championship. Last year’s cover featured Quinn Ewers, Manning’s deceased predecessor, who posed with Donovan Edwards of Michigan and Travis Hunter of Colorado, representing the Longhorns.

One of the fans said, “Winning > EA Sports Cover,” Another person inquired, without even mentioning the same video game, “Does Arch suck at Madden that bad?” “Arch will just make them pay him 75k for his own cover pretty soon like last year,” a person said. One commenter said, “Didn’t do any favors for Quinn,” “Good, dont need those burnt orange eye sores,” someone commented.
Earlier this month, On Texas Football’s Jeff Howe detailed what should drive the Longhorns this upcoming season.
“I think the great thing Sark has done … the last two offseasons, is he’s identified something to keep the team hungry,” Howe said. “Coming off that loss to Washington, it was, ‘Hey, think about how close you were. You’ve gotta be obsessed. If you wanna get back there, you’ve gotta be obsessed with it.’ I think for this team is, everybody’s talking about what you don’t have. “You know, ‘You’ve lost four starters on the offensive line. You’re gonna lose a first-round wide receiver. You’re gonna lose a Jim Thorpe Award winner. You’re losing the Outland Trophy winner. You’re losing all this.’ … I think Sark’s gonna use that internally; at least he’d be smart to, to say, ‘Hey, there’s a lot of people that are waiting for you guys to fail.'”
