Cristiano Ronaldo has already signed a contract that will keep him in the Saudi Pro League until the upcoming season.
Since the five-time Ballon d’Or winner sent a mysterious statement on social media, there has been speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future career.
Given the transfer interest before to the Club World Cup, this appeared to indicate that the 40-year-old would depart Al-Nassr after two and a half years with the team. In anticipation of the first tournament, clubs from Brazil and Morocco have been vying for the star’s services. Ronaldo, though, appears to be staying in Saudi Arabia.
Other elite players like Sadio Mane and Neymar joined the Saudi Pro League as a result of Ronaldo’s transfer, while Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United may soon be joining Al-Hilal.
But Ronaldo hasn’t only had an impact on the league; Al-Nassr has benefited greatly from him as well. Ronaldo has played in 105 games since joining the team in January 2023, scoring 93 goals and dishing out 19 assists, but he has yet to win a league or domestic cup.
Ronaldo has agreed to continue with the team, according to Santi Aouna, so Al-Nassr isn’t giving up on the gifted attacker.
Both parties will be hopeful that next season will be their third consecutive year of winning a trophy, as it is thought that Ronaldo and the club have reached a complete agreement and a contract has already been signed.
