14:20 The head coach of Bafana Bafana has advised 20-year-old Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng to make the best choice for his immediate future, as the player has been frequently linked to a move to Europe.
Although Mofokeng had previously tried out for Wolves of the Premier League, the Bucs supporter was also linked to Rangers and Barcelona throughout the season.
The coach of the South African national team, however, is hopeful that Mofokeng’s agency will negotiate a fair contract for his player and that his camp would see consistent playing time as a key consideration.
“I can only tell Mofokeng that he needs to make the correct decision. According to FarPost, Broos stated, “That’s the only advice. Just like with [Mbekezeli] Mbokazi, he played about 15 games with Orlando Pirates.”
It’s fantastic to travel to Europe, but try to make the right decision because I believe it’s better to stay with Pirates for another year if you go to a club where you won’t have the opportunity to play.
The player, his family, and his agent will have to decide that. I hope his agent is considering the player’s future rather than his pocketbook.
