After losing 4-1 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Golden State Warriors were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs earlier than they had intended. Even though they won the opening game of the series, Stephen Curry’s hamstring injury caused him to exit the game, causing more harm than good.
If the Warriors had been able to push the series to a Game 6, there was hope that Curry may have made a comeback. However, the Timberwolves won the last four games, leaving Warriors supporters wondering, “what if?”
During the NBA Finals, Draymond Green makes a strong remark about a crucial Thunder player.
The Timberwolves’ 4-1 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, which guaranteed them a spot in the NBA Finals, was something the Warriors could only watch from home after the series.
Draymond Green is pleased with what he has seen from the Thunder, especially Alex Caruso and his significance to an otherwise youthful Thunder squad, even as the Warriors prepare for another run the next season.
“Alex Caruso is, in my opinion, the third-most significant player on this OKC squad. Caruso is crucial to their work, in my opinion, and it seems like you never game plan for him,” Green remarked. “So, he goes crazy in these Finals because you don’t game prepare for him. In actuality, though, he is a champion, so he is aware of what to anticipate.
The Thunder made the massive decision to trade Josh Giddey for Caruso in the offseason. While Giddey is a solid player, his style of play didn’t fit what the Thunder needed from him.
