JUST NOW: Dublin hosted the final stop on AC/DC’s Power Up European tour on August 17 and……

On Saturday, AC/DC concluded their first extended tour in eight years with the 24th and final gig of their Power Up European tour at Dublin’s Croke Park.

The 21-song set list that the Australian rock legends played was the same as it was for the majority of their Power Up tour dates. “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” and “Back in Black” were their opening two songs. Then, they changed up the pace and played “Demon Fire” from 2020’s Power Up. They performed a wide range of hits from their legendary career, such as “Let There Be Rock,” “Highway to Hell,” “Shoot to Thrill,” “Hells Bells,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Train,” and “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt.”

How AC/DC Overcame All Odds to Complete the Power Up Tour
This year’s Power Up tour was AC/DC’s first lengthy tour since the troubled Rock or Bust tour in 2016. Due to hearing problems, singer Brian Johnson had to cancel the tour; instead, the band signed Guns N’ Roses vocalist Axl Rose for almost two dozen dates.

Johnson rejoined the group for Power Up four years later, although it was still unclear if he was well enough to travel with AC/DC. The band finally took the stage again in late 2023 at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California. The 76-year-old Johnson in particular raised questions about AC/DC’s ability to withstand the demands of a lengthy tour, but the band allayed those fears when.
