Milwaukee Brewers: Christian Yelich Could Find Himself In Elite Company In 2024.
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich has been in the major leagues since 2013 and last year he achieved 10 years of MLB service time. Throughout his career he has earned two batting crowns, one gold glove award, and one MVP award. He is at a point in his career where statistically the numbers are starting to stack up and in 2024 he could find himself in elite company as a result.

Entering the 2024 season Christian Yelich presently has 193 career home runs and 184 stolen bases. 134 of his long balls and 112 of his stolen bases have come as a member of the Brewers. This leaves 59 home runs accounted for throughout five years with the Miami Marlins and 72 stolen bases.
A season ago Yelich had a resurgence year in which for the first time since 2020 he had a slugging percentage above .400 (.447), an OPS over .800 (.818), and he nearly swiped 30 bases (28). His 19 home runs were also wonderful to see, but there is still space for development in this statistic for he has not topped 20 since 2019 when he hammered 44 baseballs over the outfield wall.
His bounce back season is optimistic for his chances of reaching the 200/200 milestone because hitting seven home runs and 16 stolen bases might occur by the All-Star break. Should he accomplish this he might become just the fifth active player to have 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases. The current players in this club are Mike Trout, Jose Altuve, Andrew McCutchen, and Jose Ramirez.
