The Ducks training camp roster now consists of 34 players after the trades.

Moving Forward Forward Carson Meyer was placed on waivers in order to be assigned, however Jan Mysak, Yegor Sidorov, and defender Drew Helleson were all assigned directly to San Diego.

The Montreal Canadiens selected Mysak in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft; however, the Ducks acquired him back in March in exchange for Jacob Perreault. Mysak played in 62 games with the Gulls and the Laval Rocket last season, splitting time between them. He finished with 14 goals and 7 assists for 21 points.

A 2023 third-round selection of the Ducks, Sidorov will be suiting up in his first pro season in 2024-25. In 66 regular season games with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades last season, he collected 50 goals and 38 assists for 88 points.

A product of Farmington, Minn., Helleson spent the entire 2023-24 season with the Gulls, scoring four goals and adding 14 assists for 18 points in 59 games. He has suited up in three career NHL games, scoring his first NHL goal in the process.

Drafted in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, Meyer split time last season between the Jackets and the Cleveland Monsters. With the Blue Jackets, he put up two points in 14 regular season games. In Cleveland, he scored 22 goals and added 15 assists for 37 points in 55 games.

The Gulls are a team to watch this season despite missing the playoffs the previous year, thanks to a strong rotation of players.
