Round nine of the EFL Championship concludes on Sunday at the Ashton Gate Stadium with a match between Bristol City and Cardiff City. With three straight victories over the home team, the Bluebirds will be hoping to build on this strong run this coming weekend.
On home ground, Sheffield Wednesday held Bristol City to a goalless draw due to a lack of creativity in front of goal. As of right now, the Robins have lost six and drawn one of their eight Championship games this season, scoring just three goals and giving up 17 goals.
Bristol City, who have 10 points from eight games, is now ranked 13th in the EFL Championship. A victory on Sunday would tie them with Watford, who are ranked 13th.
Cardiff City, on the other hand, picked up their first victory of the new Championship campaign on Tuesday when they edged out Millwall 1-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Before that, the Bluebirds were on a seven-game winless run across all competitions, claiming one draw and losing six, including a 5-3 defeat against Southampton in the EFL Cup on August 28.
Despite their win over Millwall in midweek, Cardiff City remain rooted to the bottom of the league table, level on four points with 23rd-placed Portsmouth.
