NEWS NOW: Despite rumors about his retirement, Steven Van Zandt chose to undertake this?

“I think we can play every summer for evermore, man”
Steven Van Zandt, Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist, has teased more upcoming gigs, despite recent rumors that the music great may be retiring shortly.

In a new interview with The Telegraph, the E Street Band member and Sopranos actor addressed concerns that The Boss’ current tour could be his last.
The source highlighted “a narrative vein of looming mortality” in Springsteen’s recent studio albums and live events, but Van Zandt claimed that the 74-year-old classic isn’t finished yet.

“You never know,” he replied. “We handle every show as if it were the last, and we’ve been doing it for 50 years. But the audience is still there, so we can

Van Zandt went on to say, “To be honest, I don’t see an end in sight, especially in Europe, where we’re bigger than we’ve ever been.” I suppose we can play every summer forever, guy.

“I adore that the Stones are still around. Because, as long as they’re around, we’re still the newcomers, right? So I’m okay with that.”
Springsteen and the E Street Band completed the UK/Ireland and European portion of their 2024 tour last week with two massive shows at Wembley Stadium in London.
Due to his ongoing fight with peptic ulcer illness, The Boss was forced to postpone the balance of his tour dates for September 2023. He then rescheduled the impacted US gigs for 2024.

Springsteen, on the other hand, postponed his gigs in Marseille, Prague, and Milan in May due to “vocal issues”. He is now scheduled to perform those performances in May and June of next year, following a run of North American shows in 2024.
A press statement stated that the documentary “opens a new door to Springsteen’s creative process for fans around the world, sharing fly-on-the-wall footage of band rehearsals and special moments backstage — as well as hearing from Springsteen himself” .

In 2022, Bruce Springsteen released ‘Only The Strong Survive’, a collection of R&B and soul covers. It follows his 20th studio album, ‘Letter To You’, which was released in October 2020.
