Nothing Beats Alan Jackson and George Strait Together on “Remember When” and “Troubadour” There is just nothing greater than Alan Jackson and George Strait together on the same stage.

When the two icons sang “Remember When” and “Troubadour” together in the same venue during the CMA Awards 50th Anniversary event back in 2016, everything seemed perfect for a little period of time.


As the second and last single from his 2003 compilation album, Greatest Hits Volume II, Alan composed and recorded “Remember When.” It eventually reached its peak at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs list.

Leslie Satcher and Monty Holmes wrote George’s “Troubadour,” which was made available in 2008 as the lead single and album title of his 25th studio album. It went on to become his 79th top ten hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs list, and it received a 2009 Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.
Since Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley were still hosting the 2016 CMAs, I believe it is necessary to revisit them while we’re talking about them. They were constantly hilarious together and had such a fantastic chemistry.
