The late Beatles frontman’s questionnaire will be on display at Edinburgh’s Hard Rock Café.
As part of a global “Beatles treasure hunt,” a rare John Lennon artifact that sheds light on his connection with Yoko Ono will be on display at an Edinburgh restaurant.

The Hard Rock Café and the John Lennon Estate have teamed up to create a brand-new global Beatles memorabilia treasure hunt.

Inaugurated to commemorate the publication of John Lennon’s 1973 album Mind Games – The Ultimate Collection, fans may view artifacts from the former Beatle at Hard Rock venues across the globe.

Manchester, London, Brussels, Bucharest, Florence, New York, and Orlando are among the places that have the pieces on display.

Included is a 1973 questionnaire that John Lennon personally filled out in pen at Edinburgh’s Hard Rock Café.

Known as a “valuable historical artefact,” the form provides an insight into his inner thoughts during that period, primarily expressing his intense love for his wife Yoko Ono, with whom he had a renowned collaboration on the Christmas classic Happy Xmas (War Is Over).

The two-tone denim jacket that John Lennon wore the night he was kicked out of the Troubadour Club in Los Angeles on March 12, 1974, is one of the other highlights found at Hard Rock locations.

Lennon’s annotations over his lyrics to Instant Karma, as well as a Beatles harpsichord used on the recordings of All You Need Is Love and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, will be on exhibit.

Found artifacts are labeled with QR codes during the treasure hunt, which provide followers access to stories, points, and discounts on John and Yoko’s brand-new social media platform, Citizen of Nutopia.
Hard Rock International’s vice president of memorabilia and design, Giovanni Taliaferro, stated: “What enhances the Hard Rock travel, dining, and gaming experience is the preservation of music history.”

It is a privilege for us to present unique items from the inspirational and musical legacy of John Lennon. We are extremely appreciative to the John Lennon Estate and Universal Music Group for extending an invitation to be a part of this incredible project.

“We hope that John’s greatest admirers can envision how his artistry and ideals still endure today by taking inspiration from Hard Rock’s memorabilia collection.”

“We’ve been working on the box sets of Mind Games for years now,” Sean Ono Lennon continued. At first, I thought, “Mind Games,” like a game. What if we turned mind games into a game?

That’s all I have to say for now, but this release has numerous facets, from the box sets to much more, which will gradually become clear and, hopefully, delight and captivate people for many years to come.

“As my mother says in the book’s introduction, I hope you enjoy these mind games with Hard Rock and let’s see how we can use it to create a better future.
