BEST EVER: The much-anticipated Miranda Lambert duet “Good Horses” is released by Lainey Wilson.

In a few weeks, Lainey Wilson’s new album Whirlwind will be out. Wilson and Miranda Lambert’s collaboration “Good Horses” was published three weeks before the eagerly anticipated new album is everywhere. Check out the new song below.

“Good Horses” was first performed by Wilson and Lambert during Lambert’s Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency last year. The pair then reunited at Bridgestone Arena to rehearse it in order to launch Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour’s U.S. leg. Internet videos of both performances went viral, causing fans of the performers to become quite excited. The music is now officially accessible for streaming everywhere after months of anticipation.
Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson Discuss Writing “Good Horses”
Lainey Wilson went to Miranda Lambert’s estate for an unplanned writers’ retreat the previous year. She wrote “Good Horses” alongside Lambert and Luke Dick while she was there. In a joint press release, the two musicians discussed the tune.

“I can’t wait for everyone to hear this music for the very first time. I will always treasure the day we wrote this song, because writing with Miranda and Luke feels like home,” Wilson said. “The main theme of ‘Good Horses’ is returning home, wherever you are.”
Lambert continued, “‘Good Horses’ is about all the people who love the comforts of home but also need to be free.” At my farm, Lainey and I wrote this song with Luke Dick. Lainey is a real, true human being. It’s amazing to see her dreams materialize before our very eyes, and I adore being a small part of it.
