Bryan Adams’s new independent label, Bad Records, is releasing a double A-side single with two tracks on it.
In addition to a D2C component with limited edition vinyl, there is a digital release made possible in collaboration with Platoon.
Adams, Jim Vallance, and Gene Simmons wrote the original versions of the two songs, War Machine and Rock And Roll Hell, for Kiss’s Creatures of the Night album in 1982.
Accompanied with a video shot on the rooftop of London’s Royal Albert Hall during Adams’ most recent tenure, Rock and Roll Hell is now available online.
“At the moment, the label is the home for the music I’m making, and if all goes well, there’s always a chance it could grow to include other artists,” Bryan Adams stated in an interview with Music Week. “I’m still learning my way and it’s just in its infancy right now.”
The 7″ vinyl single will be released on August 30 and can be pre-ordered now.
Recalling the incident, Adams said, “I was thrilled to write for Kiss when producer Michael James Jackson called me out of the blue. These are a couple of the songs that were the result, written with both Gene Simmons and Jim Vallance.”
With the publication of his album Cuts Like A Knife in 1983, Adams’ solo career flourished after this songwriting work with Kiss, and the following year, Reckless catapulted him to international recognition.
Adams has won a Grammy, eighteen Juno Awards, an Officer of the Order of Canada, and the top spot on charts in more than forty nations. He has received nominations for Academy Awards and Golden Globes for his work in music and film.
Adams also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
