There are many outstanding players, both well-known and obscure, on the Notre Dame football team. There are certainly some qualities about a guy that I truly appreciate, regardless of where he is on the depth chart or the recruiting ranking that was given to him before to his arrival at Notre Dame. Therefore, let’s approach running down the roster in a constructive manner over the next months.
I’ll mention three things I appreciate about a single player on the roster almost every day (just to be honest), and as a bonus, I’ll share some more pictures on the OFD Instagram account (be sure to follow RIGHT HERE).
#4 Love by Jeremiyah — Running Back
One of the more active recruits in the 2023 class, the 6’0″ 210-pound junior from Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis, Missouri, resisted the wolves for a considerable amount of time in order to get his services. Love rose to become one of the nation’s top running backs in 2024 after showing signs of explosiveness and agility as a freshman. In 2025, he was a serious contender for the Heisman Trophy.
I admire Jeremiyah Love for the following three reasons:
1. An amazing marketing strategy.
You most likely thought, “Hey, that’s pretty clever,” when you first saw it. You realized this man had a marketing strategy after the tenth time.
Jeremiyah’s use of the heart shape, whether that be with his hands or arms, is one of the best signature moves in all of sports.
2. Nostalgic Vibes Plus.
I said it while the Irish were recruiting Love, and many people have said it since (not because I said it, but because it’s probably true)… Jeremiyah Love is the closest thing to Ricky Watters since Ricky Watters. When Love took #12 as a freshman, it only made sense. Despite trading in the #12 for the #4, Love showed the same level of speed, power, and absurd athleticism that Ricky put on display during his time in South Bend.
No word yet, however, on if Love like to walk around the halls in his birthday suit.
3. A weapon for triumph.
The top running back in college football is Jeremiyah Love. Love, a back who hasn’t carried the football more than 16 times in a game throughout his time at Notre Dame, will be responsible for a large portion of the team objectives the Irish hope to achieve in 2025. Nevertheless, Love’s AMAZING power is a fantastic instrument to use in order to win a lot of football games.
