HEARTBREAKING: The Reds head coach made this devastating statement about the San Francisco.

HEARTBREAKING: The Reds head coach made this devastating statement about the San Francisco.

So far in 2025, the Cincinnati Reds have played in three series, and they have lost all three. As you may remember, the first was the season’s first home game against the San Francisco Giants, and the series’ pivotal event was an Opening Day collapse in the bullpen.

The reeling Reds will already get a chance to avenge those Opening Day troubles as they’ve headed west to the Bay to take on the Giants as the road side. And, in theory, they’ve lined up the top three arms in their starting rotation to hopefully make the upcoming three-game series vastly more successful.

If the offense shows up again, that is. Right now, the Reds are sporting a collective 72 wRC+ as a team through 10 games, and that’s good for 5th worst in all of baseball. Having Matt McLain be sidelined with a hamstring issue the last few days has only exacerbated that problem.

As things stand on the morning of April 7th, the Reds are where they’ve been all too often during most of our lives – stuck in a tie for last place in their division. The Giants, meanwhile, are off to a blistering 8-1 start to their season and in 1st place in the NL West, their lone loss on the season to these very Reds.

We have very much reached the put up or shut up portion of April already, as we’ve witnessed far too many Reds seasons fall by the wayside in the season’s first month due to disastrous play. So, go Reds?
