The complete Pittsburgh Steelers 2024 NFL season depth chart

The Pittsburgh Steelers, who take on the Houston Texans in Week 1 of the preseason, have officially unveiled their opening depth chart for the 2024 NFL season.

(No, WR1 Brandon Aiyuk wasn’t on the list yet!)

The starting depth chart didn’t include any huge surprises, though some would view Russell Wilson’s selection as QB1 over Justin Fields as a “shock” following a strong training camp thus far. Nonetheless, Wilson is still in the “pole position” to start at quarterback, according to Tomlin and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, so the news isn’t that shocking.

Another predictable “surprise”: the Steelers have chosen to go with a veteran offensive line, with Dan Moore Jr. at left tackle and Nate Herbig at center.

at center, and Broderick Jones, a rookie, at right tackle. However, Jones will play left tackle in the preseason and rookie Troy Fautanu will play right tackle, according to Steelers offensive line coach Pat Meyer. This seems more like the lineup we’ll probably see by the middle of the season, if not sooner.

JUST NOW: The Pittsburgh Steelers are prepared to pay millions of dollars to sign a player.

However, don’t just take my word for it that the Steelers’ initial depth chart doesn’t show any shocking developments. Check it out for yourself. This is a complete look at the Steelers offense, defense, and special teams depth chart as of August 6, 2024, as disclosed by the team before the first preseason game.
