The Miami Hurricanes have secured a significant commitment for their 2026 recruiting class with the addition of four-star offensive tackle Ben Congdon. Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 285 pounds, Congdon hails from Mineral City, Ohio, where he attends Tuscarawas Valley High School.

Congdon’s decision to join Miami came during his visit to Coral Gables on Monday, coinciding with the Hurricanes’ spring camp kickoff. He chose Miami over several notable programs, including Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

Ranked as the nation’s No. 20 offensive tackle and No. 177 prospect overall by On3, Congdon becomes the fourth commitment for Miami in the 2026 cycle. He has developed a strong rapport with head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. Congdon expressed his admiration for the coaching staff, stating, “I love Coach Mirabal and Cristobal. I love the campus. I love how they treat and interact with my family.”

His commitment underscores Miami’s strategic efforts to strengthen its offensive line for future seasons. The Hurricanes’ proactive approach in recruiting top-tier talent like Congdon reflects their dedication to building a formidable team in the coming years.
