Aretha Franklin, 76, who is battling cancer and allegedly weighs only 86 pounds, is in hospice care at her Detroit home, surrounded by friends and family.
Her nephew, Tim Franklin, 60, disclosed that, in addition to hospice care, her ‘family is there with her,’ and that’she’s home.
‘Aretha is a strong woman of faith,’ Tim told Radar. We are all praying for her during her illness. We believe she will pull through, and her spirits reflect that.
Tim acknowledges that her admirers are concerned about her and requests that they pray for her strength.
While the singer has been battling cancer for several years, her family is optimistic that she will recover, and they are attempting to shield her from public stories about her deteriorating condition.
‘I visited her a week ago Friday and we talked for around 45 minutes to an hour. My brother was present on Saturday, and she was attentive, chatting, laughing, and joking,’ Tim told People.
‘She’s watching TV, and God forbid she sees all of this ”Aretha’s dead,” so I don’t want to dampen her spirits.
People claims that her loved ones have been informed that her ‘death is impending.’
