The Bulldogs make an effort to be abreast of market demand.
For many years, the Georgia Bulldogs have led the way in collegiate football. However, coach Kirby Smart had to stand up for his players since the program’s NIL strategy got off to a slow start.
With an abundance of resources, the Bulldogs have attempted to establish the benchmark ever since. However, the landscape of collegiate athletics has undoubtedly been changing, and Georgia continues to lead the way. According to one college football observer, Georgia is set to step up its 2026 preparations.
Steve Wiltfong of On3 stated, “I believe that this is the recruiting cycle where we see Kirby Smart and Georgia, kind of ‘let it rip’ a little bit more on the NIL front.” “I think he thought that people were full of (expletive) at how much they were actually getting.”
Georgia has to notice the “writing on the wall” and how they can get better in the SEC and beyond as the 2025 college football season draws near. Furthermore, a “Super League” is not decades away from becoming a reality.
“Georgia was winning with the way that they were recruiting and developing players internally, but had some misses on the recruiting trail. And to know that those misses were purely NIL,” Wilfong added. “I think that we are seeing Georgia arming up in that arena more than ever in 2026.”
Smart’s efforts will put Georgia in-play for many top recruits in next year’s cycle. If they can truly ‘let it rip’, the sky might be the limit for the Bulldogs.
