According to HLN, Roko Simic will be loaned to Kortrijk. This summer, the 20-year-old will move from Red Bull Salzburg to Cardiff City, where he will assist sister club Kortrijk instead of competing in the Championship.
Isaac Davies, a striker from Cardiff that Kortrijk also leased out last season, ended up leading the team in goals and keeping them in the Pro League.
The second part of the 2022–2023 season was spent by Simic, a Croatian youth international who is also eligible for Italy, on loan at FC Zürich in Switzerland. He scored four goals for the team in 16 games. He participated in 38 games the previous season after moving back to Austria, tallying two assists and six goals.
Kortrijk’s season has started unevenly, with three losses and two victories in their first five games. They could definitely use more of an offensive threat after failing to produce anything in the weekend’s 1-0 loss to Charleroi away from home.
