August 26, 2024, Indianapolis, IN (Motor Sports NewsWire) — Jason Dierdorff has been appointed the NHRA Director of Event Security and Logistics, according to NHRA officials.
Based out of the NHRA’s Indianapolis headquarters, Dierdorff brings a plethora of experience to the role. He has been a member of the community since 1999 and was previously the Deputy Chief of Administration at the Speedway Police Department. In addition, he served as a starting line security coordinator for the NHRA in the 2024 season.
In his capacity as the NHRA’s Director of Event Security and Logistics, Dierdorff will be in charge of the pit control crew and security at NHRA national events. In addition, he will oversee and manage the SPSG training modules and serve as the NHRA’s on-site OSHA representative.

In addition, Dierdorff serves as President of Ascension Protective Services, which assists in managing public safety and security for NASCAR and IndyCar events. Prior to this, he worked as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Event Police Coordinator from 2008 to 2022. Dierdorff will work under Josh Peterson, vice president of racing administration at the NHRA.
